Big Cats Jungle Exhibit

While walking through the Jungle Room, you get the impression that plant life thrives abundantly here.  Among this typical rain forest, the jaguar, anaconda and leopard seem at home.  Emerald and forest green chades of vines, banana trees, palms, and other plant life are cast along the walls of this mural.  You definitely get the feeling you are in the heated jungle of South America.  Paper mache rocks and trees in green shades also add to the atmosphere.

As you view the tropic and sub-tropic regions of of this display, you can also listen carefully to the story of how Dr. E. A. Weinheimer hunted and killed the Bengal Tiger. Stop by the museum and see if you can tell the difference between the Leopard and the Jaguar.
